Zanthoxylum Organic Essential oil – Nepal – Zanthoxylum armatum D.C

Zanthoxylum is a not so well known in perfumery and deserves a lot of praise especially as it can do wonders in fresh, floral and fruity perfumes. This material reminds me of my visit to a distiller in Nepal and the quality of the oil they produce is second to none.

Zanthoxylum Essential oil is deep citrus, very tropical fruity like lychees, mix berries and lots of it, peppery warm.

Zanthoxylum armatum also called winged prickly ash, is a species of plant in the Rutaceae family. It is an aromatic, deciduous, spiny shrub growing to 3.5 meters in height. It is also called Timur in Nepali.
