Jamal Al Attar – Oud based perfume oil – 100% Pure & Natural
Designed and conceptualized by Oudologie and craftoud
Jamal Al Attar – Oud based perfume oil is the coming together of three complex perfume accords and materials, which are otherwise difficult to tame. The end result are the perfumery notes playing in harmony.
The top notes are green spicy contributed by galbanum, green cardamom, and crispy green Indian jasmine sambac, followed by heart notes of a spice accord of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg from Madagascar.
The heart is soft ambery and changes to creamy tonka contributed by Vanilla from Madagascar, tonka beans, benzoin Siam, cedarwood, labdanum, Arabic coffee and Bulgarian tobacco.
The base is even more overwhelming with the coming together of legends,
Vintage 1970s Indian patchouli, Mysore santal X heartwood and incense accord including opponax from Somalia.
The best part is yet to come. It is a beautiful Oud accord of Indian, Indonesian and other South Asian ouds distilled specially for us. The oud accord is sweet incense, oudy green, earthy and smokey.

Below is what the review from Daren who was the first customer to buy this oil.
“Jamal Al Attar – Oud based perfume oil: I get a hint of citrus green in the opening not too heavy and overbearing, there’s a damp herbaceous earthiness to this green, its not bitter at all to me, throw some light cardamon spice fresh from the pod, from here i get an ever o slight sweetness amongst a dusty, woody and creamy heart. There a bit of peeking here, between the lighter and dark notes giving a shade of grey.
During this phase I get hints of coffee, rich tobacco switching between this citric green herbaceousness, which losses a bit its bite but highlights more of the rich patchoulis depth, there’s also constant resinous feeling in this phase from oud all layered over a magnificent Santal X (Listed in our Etsy shop as Santal Royal). You can tell this is vintage sandalwood, its deep and creamy like full fat milk and has the dusty effect to give that dry amber effect in the heart. This perfume reminds me of a scene out of Casablanca and the colognes one would wear at this time. This is a winner and I only see it getting better over time with the oud, patchouli and santal ageing and I look forward to my next wearing to see what I notice next as this has a complexity to it.”
