Wild Mysore Sandalwood Mitti Attar - Petrichor
Anthocephalus cadambaWild Mysore Sandalwood Mitti Attar - Petrichor
oriental
Our Sandal Mitti Attar is a rare, artisan-crafted oil produced through the ancient deg bhapka hydro-distillation process, co-distilling baked Indian clay with vintage Mysore Sandalwood Oil. This particular batch was made in 1990 using premium-quality Indian clay and authentic Mysore sandalwood—an irreplaceable combination. We were only able to secure 100 grams of this precious material, making it an exceptional collector’s piece.
The scent opens with a striking petrichor note—reminiscent of rain falling on dry soil, evoking deep nostalgia. As it unfolds, it transitions into a creamy, powdery heart and gradually reveals the majestic sweetness of aged Mysore sandalwood, which lingers for hours with warmth and subtle complexity.
This is not a modern imitation. Most Mitti attars on the market today are synthetic or sandalwood-free. This is the real deal—earthy, grounding, and infused with history. It comes in a premium glass bottle with a glass dipstick applicator. The 2.5g size uses the large display bottle shown in photos; larger sizes come in our custom high-quality branded packaging.
