Vetiver Essential Oil from Indonesia is a richly complex and powerful base note, distilled from the roots of the Vetiveria zizanioides plant. This Indonesian variety is known for its distinct smoky, nutty, and earthy aroma, setting it apart from the greener, sweeter tones of other regional vetivers.
We acquired this batch 5 years ago directly from the distiller and decided to age it to make it mature and full bodied. We have achieved the desired result and decided to introduce it.
Steam distilled with care, this oil offers a warm, grounding scent profile that evokes images of smoldering earth, roasted wood, and dried roots. The smokiness is pronounced and robust, making it a favorite among perfumers for bold, sensual, and contemplative compositions. The nutty, almost toasted quality adds depth and character, blending beautifully with spices, resins, florals, and even gourmand notes.
