Vetiver Essential Oil from India, produced through traditional steam distillation, is a grounding and deeply aromatic oil extracted from the roots of the Vetiveria zizanioides plant. Known as the "Oil of Tranquility," this exquisite material is cherished in perfumery and aromatherapy for its earthy, woody, smoky, and slightly sweet character.
This listing is not for Ruh Khus: India produces mainly two types of vetiver, once is called Ruh Khus and other is the standard Vetiver oil. Ruh Khus is produced via the traditional Indian hydro distillation process using copper pots called Bhapka and Deg, there is a separate listing for Ruh Khus in our store.
This listing is for Vetiver essential oil which is produced using steam distillation process, in steel distillation unit. The result from hydro and steam are completely different.
Vetiver Essential Oil is rich, resinous, and complex, with deep undertones of moist earth, leather, and subtle green facets. Its long-lasting and tenacious nature makes it an exceptional base note, providing structure and longevity to blends. In perfumery, it harmonizes beautifully with citrus, florals, spices, and resins, adding both elegance and depth.
