Isobutavan – Givaudan, also known chemically as Vanillin Isobutyrate, is a distinctive gourmand vanilla aroma chemical with an exceptionally smooth, sweet, and creamy character. Compared with conventional vanillin, Isobutavan is noticeably less powdery and more creamy, making it particularly attractive for contemporary vanilla and gourmand fragrance compositions.
The aroma opens with a rich creamy vanilla impression, developing into delicious nuances reminiscent of white chocolate and cream soda. A delicate apricot-like fruity facet emerges beneath the vanilla, adding softness and an unexpected stone-fruit dimension.
