Tobacco Absolute Burley – West Africa is an exceptional natural perfumery extract produced from Nicotiana tabacum of the Burley variety. Intensely aromatic and full of character, this is a distinctly dark, rustic, dry tobacco profile, quite different from fresher, greener styles of Tobacco Absolute.
The aroma immediately evokes mature cured tobacco leaves, fine cigars, and traditional chewing tobacco. Deep earthy and woody facets surround the tobacco heart, while restrained natural sweetness and subtle warm spice add richness and complexity. The result is powerful, mature, dry, and unmistakably tobacco.
Produced through solvent extraction, the material captures the aromatic richness of the Burley tobacco leaf. This premium grade has also been decolorised to reduce the naturally intense dark coloration typically associated with Tobacco Absolute, providing greater flexibility in fine fragrance formulation while preserving its characteristic olfactive depth. Decolorisation does not mean colourless or transparent; the material naturally retains a brown appearance.
In perfumery, it is exceptional for tobacco perfumes, cigar accords, leather fragrances, woody ambers, oud compositions, incense, boozy accords, and vanilla-tobacco creations. It pairs beautifully with rum, cognac, leather, vanilla, tonka, patchouli, labdanum, sandalwood, oud, cedarwood, and warm spices.
