Rose de Mai Absolute – Morocco is an exceptional natural rose absolute produced from Rosa centifolia, one of the most treasured roses in fine perfumery. Often referred to as the Queen of Roses, Rose de Mai possesses a beautifully complex character that goes far beyond a simple rosy floral note. This Moroccan absolute is rich, warm, deep, and intensely expressive.
The aroma opens with an unmistakable wave of intense natural rose, full-bodied and beautifully floral. Rich honeyed nuances run through the heart, adding nectar-like warmth and depth. As the absolute develops, fascinating traces of dry hay and subtle tobacco emerge beneath the flowers, giving the rose a mature, textured quality before returning again and again to its magnificent rosy signature.
This is a rose material with tremendous presence and character. We have paired it with Mysore Sandalwood in an attar, and the combination is simply divine—the creamy sandalwood beautifully amplifies the honeyed warmth and depth of the rose.
