Isobornyl Cyclohexanol (IBCH) is a high-performance woody sandalwood aroma chemical widely used in fine fragrance, functional perfumery, and modern fragrance formulation. With a smooth, creamy sandalwood-like odor, IBCH delivers elegant woody warmth, making it an excellent alternative or enhancer in sandalwood accords.

Olfactively, IBCH presents a clean, soft woody character with subtle creamy and slightly balsamic undertones. It provides structure, roundness, and longevity to base notes without overpowering the composition. Its balanced diffusion makes it suitable for both masculine and unisex fragrance designs, particularly in woody, amber, oriental, and fougère styles.

In fragrance formulation, Isobornyl Cyclohexanol is valued for its stability, strength, and versatility, enhancing sandalwood, cedarwood, musks, and amber materials. It performs well in fine fragrance due to its high flash point (155°C) and excellent stability.

IBCH can also be used as a thickner.
