Copaiba Essential Oil, derived from the bark of the South American Copaifera langsdorffii tree (Fabaceae family), is created by tapping the bark to extract oleoresin, followed by steam distillation. This oil, rectified to remove non-aromatic molecules and concentrate desired ones, is more potent and premium compared to non-rectified versions.
Renowned for its therapeutic benefits, Copaiba serves as a base and fixative in blends with musks, Roman chamomile, Cedarwood, ylang-ylang, and frankincense. Its distinct odor profile includes vanilla, balsamic, woody, fruity, and animalic notes. The oil originates from Brazil, with its balm being the plant part used.
