Anthopogon Essential Oil, Rhododendron anthopogon D. Don the dwarf rhododendron, is a species of flowering plant in the family Ericaceae, native to Nepal, Pakistan, Tibet, and Myanmar. Its habitats include open slopes, thickets, hillsides, and cliff ledges.
Our oil is from materials collected from the Nepal elevation around 3200 to 4700m.
The extracted Anthopogon Essential Oil is aromatically divine, steam distilled from the flowers and leaves of rhododendron. It has an exotic floral aroma with lingering sweet and fruity notes.
An interesting spiritual fact is that the dried leaves of anthopogon are crushed by Buddhist monks, mixed with butter, and made into incense for monasteries and others throughout SE Asia.
