Amber Xtreme™ – IFF is an exceptionally powerful amber woody aroma chemical engineered to deliver extraordinary fragrance performance. Its remarkable combination of intense woody-amber character, diffusion, strength and longevity makes it one of the most impactful modern materials available to perfumers. IFF rates its note impact as high across the top, heart and base, meaning its effect can be experienced throughout the entire fragrance evolution.
The aroma is powerful, radiant and unmistakably amber woody, bringing tremendous volume and presence even at very low concentrations. Amber Xtreme™ can amplify a composition without simply adding weight, giving woods, ambers and musks greater projection, structure and persistence. IFF reports substantivity of more than one week and a typical use level from traces to 0.5%, illustrating just how potent this ingredient is.
It is remarkably versatile and can be used to boost almost any fragrance type at every stage. IFF specifically recommends combinations with Cashmeran®, Timbersilk™, Ambrettolide and Ambermor, opening possibilities across woody ambers, musks, florals and contemporary fine fragrance.
