Wild Opoponax Essential Oil– Somalia – Commiphora erythraea
Legend has it that King Solomon referred to opoponax as the most noblest of resin gums. The trunk of the Commiphora erythraea tree in Somalia has incisions regularly carried out to produce a gum resin, that are dark brownish clumps in the shape of ‘tears’. Blends well with floral, citrus, woody and leather.
I was shocked when i took the first wiff from the bottle of this amazing material, it is so fruity and resinous and warm, i immediately fell in love with it.
